Counseling and Wellness Center
The Counseling and Wellness Center is staffed by licensed mental health professionals and Master’s level interns, a part-time psychiatrist, and a part-time dietician. The center offers individual, group, couples, and family therapy, as well as consultation, assessment, psychiatric evaluation, crisis intervention, referrals, and educational outreach programs. The center has a wellness room that offers many workshops, programs, activities, and techniques designed to reduce stress and promote optimal health. Students are able to schedule an appointment to speak with a counselor, sign up for a program/group/workshop, or to utilize any of the wellness center activities. Students are encouraged to walk-in to ask questions or express concerns; our staff are knowledgeable and caring.
Student Health and Counseling is located in Spellman Hall, on the ground floor. In case of an emergency after hours, please call Campus Safety at (914) 323-SAFE (7233) or contact your Resident Advisor or Resident Director.
Students can call (914) 323-7277 to ask questions, express concerns, or schedule an appointment at the Health Center or Counseling and Wellness Center. Appointments are strongly encouraged.
