Developmental Courses
Students who are not deemed college-ready either through state-wide assessment or locally administered placement exams must complete a developmental course of study in all deficient areas. Students must consult with their advisor regarding specific placement policies. Placement assessment is required of all students.
All new students who are enrolled in one or more developmental courses will be required to take a Student Success Course within their first semester of coursework. The Student Success Course teaches students the necessary skills to be successful in college. This is a one hour developmental course that meets for sixteen contact hours.
