Student Affairs
Involvement within the campus community serves as one of the strongest predictors of academic and personal success. With more than 160 student groups, new residence halls, and community service opportunities, Student Affairs provides countless ways to connect with peers and to meet your health and wellness needs.
Student Affairs consists of several departments and areas that provide many opportunities for academic, personal, and social engagement: The Miron Student Center serves as the hub of student life at Kean University -- it provides dining options, meeting space, a technology lounge, and a game room; the Center for Leadership and Service provides opportunities to work in the community or participate in leadership development; Greek Life promotes the ideals of scholarship, service leadership, campus involvement, and brotherhood/sisterhood; Residence Life, a home away from home, provides more opportunities to connect and develop through Residence Hall Council and pursue interests through one’s’ field of study with living learning communities.
Student Affairs also consist of the Office of Student Accountability, Standards and Education (SASE) that educates students regarding the community core values of the University and investigates allegations of the Student Code of Conduct through due process procedures established by the University.
Collectively, Student Affairs provides a means for students to achieve personal and academic success. The Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs is located in the Miron Student Center, Rm. 303; and can be reached at 908-737-5260 or studentaffairs@kean.edu.
