MATH 070 Adaptive Mathematics
(Contact Hours: 2) This course strengthens foundational pre-algebra or algebra skills learned in MATH 081 or MATH 087. Students who wish to register for this course need the recommendation of a math instructor. Upon completion of this course, students will take a placement test to determine, in coordination with their program of study, the next math class in which they should enroll. PREREQUISITES: Writing and Reading -- minimum benchmarks will be enforced; and Math -- SAT: 19.5, ALEKS: 9, Accuplacer (Arithmetic): 40, NextGen Accuplacer (Arithmetic): 220, ACT: 15, or COMPASS (Pre-Algebra): 29 is REQUIRED.
