Support will focus on strengthening students' mathematical literacy by building a foundation of mathematical concept through the study of operations on fractions, decimals, and percents; conversions between multiple numerical representations; metric system conversions; effectively utilizing a scientific calculator; and an introduction to dimensional analysis. Students will develop conceptual and procedural tools that support the use of key mathematical concepts needed for success in various health careers. PREREQUISITE: Writing and Reading -- minimum benchmarks will be enforced; and Math -- SAT: 19.5, ALEKS: 9, Accuplacer (Arithmetic): 40, NextGen Accuplacer (Arithmetic): 220, ACT: 15, or COMPASS (PreAlgebra): 29 is REQUIRED.
