NURS 167 Nursing Pharmacology II

(Contact Hours: 2) The purpose of this course is to prepare the student or practitioner to apply the nursing process during drug administration. Emphasis is placed on the nursing process correlating patterns of knowing and pharmacological principles using critical thinking with medical regimens. This course familiarizes the student with pharmacological classes of drugs and complimentary alternative medicine principles with the promotion of health. Students need prerequisite skills to perform mathematical calculations commonly encountered in drug therapy. PREREQUISITE: Successful completion of NURS 100, NURS 102, NURS 104, and NURS 105 is REQUIRED. Corequisite: NURS 236 and NURS 237.
