Credit for Prior Learning

Test-out

After being admitted to the college, it may be possible to earn credit for courses offered at Hennepin Tech by successful completion of an exam. This examination may take the form of a written test, an oral examination, or other demonstration of competency administered by the faculty member who instructs the course. Contact OneStop for more information about initiating this process.

High School Articulation

Articulated College Credit (ACC) is a way for students in grades 10, 11, or 12 to earn technical or community college credit. High school students who successfully complete ACC courses through their high school and establish a transcript at Hennepin Tech may request to have the ACC credit entered on their Hennepin Tech college transcript.
