Access Services

Students who require accommodations due to a diagnosed disability need to apply for services through the Access Services Office. Please visit the Access Services webpage to schedule an appointment.

Basic Needs

Hennepin Tech believes that basic needs security is essential to students' wellbeing and is committed to providing resources that can help promote success inside and outside of the classroom. Resources include emergency grants, and support for housing insecurity, food insecurity, personal finances, childcare and parenting, health care and mental health care access and insurance, transportation, and technology and internet access.

Bus Stops and Passes

A bus stop is located at the main entrance at Brooklyn Park Campus. Metro Transit serves the Brooklyn Park campus. There is not a direct bus line to Eden Prairie campus. Southwest Transit serves the Eden Prairie area. There is not a direct connection between the campuses. Visit their websites for route information.

Metro Transit bus passes are available for purchase at the Campus Store. Passes can be purchased in person at the Campus Store with financial aid, cash, check, credit or debit card.

Campus Store

The Campus Store is a retail service facility operated to meet the needs of students, faculty, and staff. Textbooks, course-related and reference materials, educational tools, kits, clothing, and supplies may be purchased at the Campus Store at each campus or online. Snacks and beverages are also available in store.

Career Exploration

Hennepin Tech provides services to help students make the right career choice. Whether students are making a career change, returning to the workforce, undergoing a transition, or entering college for the first time, there are options available to help make informed, well-planned decisions, including career assessments. To receive more information about career development services at Hennepin Tech or to make an appointment with a Counselor, contact OneStop at 952-995-1300. 

 

Counselors

Professional counselors serve the college community by providing academic, career, crisis, and personal counseling to students in a confidential setting.  

Counselors assist students on academic warning, suspension, and probation by formulating plans to help them accomplish their academic, career, and personal goals.  

Counselors also connect with students of concern to provide resources to help them improve their attendance and academic performance.  

In addition, counselors serve as the faculty advisors for all Individualized Studies and Health Science (Broad Field) major students at Hennepin Tech.   

Library

The College Library provides access to a variety of materials that support the curriculum of the college, including research databases, online and print materials, laptops, research help, and more. Many current course textbooks are also available to students for 4 hours (in-building use only). Our online content can be accessed off-campus, 24/7 through the Library webpage.

Hennepin Tech Food Pantry

Open during the school day depending on staff and volunteer availability; the Hennepin Tech Food Pantry serves all students, faculty, staff and the community with fresh groceries and rotating options. Open in partnership with Good in the 'Hood, the Hennepin Tech Food Pantry helps to reduce hunger as a barrier to success in your education. Located in F120 on both campuses. 

On Campus Food

Food is available for purchase at the Campus Store on days classes are in session during Fall and Spring semesters. Hours vary by campus. Vending machines are also available around campus.

At the Brooklyn Park campus, City View Food Service provides food and drinks in the Coffee Shop. It's available Monday through Thursdays from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm. 

Resource Room

The Resource Room is free and open to the Hennepin Tech community. In the Resource Room you will find everyday personal hygiene items (i.e. deodorant, toothpaste, lotion), diapers etc. As well as donated clothing, shoes, and more. Please use as needed.
