ASPP 5308 Optimal Performance Recovery

This course will focus on implementing micro and macro recovery routines and techniques to support optimal physical and mental performance. Students will examine research on the benefits of purposeful recovery and evidence-based recovery practices. Methods, which sport and performance psychology professionals can use to teach recovery within individual and group settings, will be explored using cognitive, behavioral, emotional, and/or spiritual strategies and techniques. Each student will develop their own personal recovery protocol. Additionally, students will choose a specific performance domain to develop a micro recovery training plan and implementation strategy using evidence-based psychology methods.
