ART 313 Art Since 1945
This course examines developments in art and visual culture from the middle of the twentieth century to the present through selected discrete topical units: Abstract Expressionism, Minimalism, Pop Art, postmodernism, and the critique of museum institutions are just a few of the topics that will be covered. Students will engage critically both visual examples and seminal texts produced by significant artists, art historians, philosophers, and art critics.
