MFA 523 Artmaking As Fieldwork

Students examine histories, theories, and practices in movement-based artforms through the lens of cultural anthropology. They conduct anthropological fieldwork and develop creative ethnographies. Emphasis is on dance theatre and devised performance. (3 sem. hrs.)
