CSC 7027 Agentic AI and Multi-Agent Systems

This course provides an in-depth study of agentic artificial intelligence systems and multi-agent architectures, two rapidly evolving paradigms reshaping how intelligent systems perceive, reason, plan, and act in dynamic environments. Students will examine the theoretical foundations of autonomous AI agents, including agent architectures, planning algorithms, tool use, and memory mechanisms. The course further investigates how multiple agents collaborate, negotiate, and compete within coordinated frameworks to solve complex real-world problems that exceed the capacity of a single agent. Students will design, implement, and evaluate agentic pipelines and multi-agent systems using contemporary frameworks and large language model-based orchestration techniques.
