Transfer Admission
When considering a transfer applicant, the Admission Committee looks for documentation that the student's prior academic experiences will provide an adequate foundation for success in college-level coursework taken at WTU. The most important factor considered is the applicant's previous academic record, as evidenced by college transcripts.
Transfer students are expected to have made significant progress toward general education requirements at time of admission as these requirements are a condition of graduation (see Graduation Requirements). Deficiencies in these requirements, however, will not preclude admission to WTU. Transfer students can address deficiencies by taking general education classes at WTU (when and as they are available), by taking courses at other colleges and universities, or by completing CLEP examinations as recognized by WTU. Students should review these requirements with their advisors.
