Leave of Absence
Students with appropriate documentation (medical, financial, personal) may apply for a Leave of Absence (LOA) from the University without penalty.
The student must meet with an Academic Advisor for LOA guidance to initiate the LOA. After meeting with an Advisor, the student is required to meet with the appropriate Student Services officer to apply for the LOA.
The LOA restrictions are as follows:
- LOA cannot extend beyond 180 days.
- Student must submit a Returning Student Application Form to the Registrar’s office.
- Student is required to meet with an Academic Advisor prior to registering for courses.
Students may return to the University any time within the 180 days without penalty. After 180 days, student must reapply to WTU and will be required to complete new program requirements if applicable.
