EDRD 3347 Differentiating Literacy Instruction

Differentiating Literacy Instruction addresses differentiated literacy instruction and the Science of Teaching Reading. Special emphasis is placed on English language learners and students with reading difficulties such as dyslexia. Other topics include Response to Intervention, flexible grouping, instructional accommodations, the various instructional formats of a Balanced Literacy classroom, structured literacy instruction, cursive handwriting, as well as formal and informal literacy assessments. This course is the final course of the Literacy minor for elementary certification candidates.
