ATHP 6243 Evaluation of the Lower Extremity and Lumbar Spine
This course is an in-depth study and practice of techniques used in the assessment of injuries and conditions of the lower extremity and lumbar spine. Primary emphasis will be on the process and components of an injury evaluation and physical assessment techniques. Students will learn evidence-based orthopedic and neurological special tests for the foot, ankle, leg, knee, hip, pelvis, and lumbar spine. Utilization of information obtained from the evaluation process to determine primary treatment will be explored.
