BIS 242 Introduction to Human Pathophysiology #

Underlying molecular mechanisms and causes of altered physiological states in the human body are covered. Major concepts emphasized in the course include maintenance of acid-base and body fluid balances, oxygenation, neuro endocrine regulation and control, immune defense mechanisms, cardiovascular mechanisms and aging. Critical-thinking and problem-solving techniques will be used to study the interaction of body systems in the development of various disease states. This course is designed for allied health practitioners and pre-professional students. (course fee required)
