ATF 2400 Multi-Engine Flight
This course provides both ground and flight training required to earn a FAA multi-engine pilot rating. It includes dual flight instruction and related ground instruction and pre-/post-flight briefings with a PHSC approved FAA flight instructor. It should be noted that the required flight hours are based on FAA-syllabus minimums, and students will often exceed these minimum hours. The cost for these additional flight hours are not covered by the course fee. Student pilots are expected to fly at least three flight hours per week.
This course has special requirements to include the students must meet prior to enrolling; students must hold a minimum of an FAA 3rd class medical certificate (current 2nd class for GI bill students), must be U.S. citizens or have TSA authorization to start flight training, and hold a private pilot certificate. Students must meet with the PHSC Aviation Project Coordinator for approval and verification of documentations, as well as review course requirements and flight training costs. This course provides the flight training and experience required to obtain an FAA multi-engine rating. In order to receive credit for this course the student must complete the appropriate flight lessons and pass the Federal Aviation Administration’s Pilot Multi-Engine Rating Practical Exam to satisfactorily complete the course. Flight training fees are paid directly to the college in advance.
