Certificate in Therapeutic Massage
Curriculum Overview
The Certificate in Therapeutic Massage prepares graduates to work effectively in clinical environments (e.g., hospitals, medical clinics, sports rehab centers, etc.) providing relief from pain and other symptoms of conditions such as sciatica, tendonitis, headache, and back pain. Courses build on relaxation massage approaches with clinically focused massage techniques. Clinical rotations in the community with University partners provide the opportunity to work with various populations.

Graduation Requirements
The Certificate in Therapeutic Massage is granted to those candidates who have:
1. Completed the required curriculum
2. Completed the required 44 total credits.
3. Demonstrated competency in clinic and completed internship and field experience requirements.
4. Earned a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 or better.
5. Fulfilled all financial obligations to the University.
6. Certification in First Aid and Basic Life Support (BLS)
