MTPR-1120 WELLNESS AND SELF CARE
This course explores student wellness, self-care and effective client communication. Students will examine various topics related to holistic mental and physical health to support practitioner wellbeing and resources related to client inquiries. This course will have experiential, hands-on, and applicable components to address specific areas that directly impact the student’s health as a massage therapist along with work-life balance. Topics covered include wellness domains of stress management, nutrition, functional fitness/ergonomics/mobility, sleep hygiene, as well as scope of practice in client communication.

Given that this course lays the foundation for self-care as a massage practitioner, it should be taken as a T1 course. Relaxation Massage 1 is a T1 course.
