- Required internship hours are scheduled at local fitness facilities and may vary from classroom hours.
Additional Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent is recommended.
- In order to stay current those working in the field must updated their CPR/AED certification every two years.
Advising Notes
This program is intended to prepare a student for the World Instructor Training Schools (W.I.T.S) Personal Fitness Trainer Certification Exam. Upon scoring high enough on this exam, a student is eligible for entry level employment as a personal trainer.
