This program is intended upon completion to prepare students for the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (IAHSCMM) Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRST) Exam. Upon scoring high enough on this exam, a student is eligible for entry level employment as a sterile processing technician.
Upon successful completion of the exam one must provide documentation of 400 hours, on a paid or volunteer basis, within 6 months of passing the exam. During that six month period you will be considered provisionally certified.

If you have interest in continuing your education in healthcare, speak with a nursing and allied health pathway advisor for further course planning.
This certificate is designed upon completion to be eligible to use credit for prior learning from this program to save time and money on the Surgical Technology Degree. Contact CAS for more information on course equivalences and next steps you need to take to begin the next program.
