OFT136 CPT-4 Coding

This course is the study of the CPT/HCPCS procedure coding systems used to describe medical and surgical services and procedures provided by physicians, hospital outpatient and ancillary departments, hospital emergency rooms, and other ambulatory care facilities. Students will learn about ethical coding and adherence to guidelines, such as the National Correct Coding Initiative. The focus of this course is to provide students with the knowledge and technical skills to code for all types of ambulatory and ancillary medical services.
