Advising Notes
This certificate is designed to provide the education needed to prepare students to be a licensed alcohol and drug counselor and for entry level employment in the substance addiction field.
For students interested in continuing their education in the substance addiction field, courses in this certificate count towards Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Degree.
If you intend to graduate with this certificate in one year, you should enroll in at least 15 credits if taking only fall/spring courses.
Taking classes in the winter intersession and summer can accelerate your time to degree completion.
Many courses have prerequisite requirements that must be fulfilled to be eligible to enroll in the course.
All student degree audits for graduation purposes will be based off the official program of study the student is enrolled in.
Starting Fall 2017 a Danvers based evening/hybrid/online cohort model is available for working professionals that meets Wednesday evenings/hybrid/online from September-June.
