CAM 3105 COMMUNICATING FOR INTIMACY

Students will examine the impact and shaping effects of digital socialization on human development, intimate relationships and the connection to health and well-being. Students will explore the history of courtship communication, traditions and language through the ages with a compare and contrast analysis of today's social norms, dating apps, digital communication language and its impact of modern love. In addition to theory and practices of intimate communication, students will be introduced to the research process, engage in the concepts and methodologies by which communication research is designed, conducted, interpreted and critically evaluated.
