BIO 3065 Plant Biology II: Light, Water, Minerals

How do plants acquire and utilize resources from the environment? In this course we will examine the above ground processes (photosynthesis) and below ground processes (the uptake of water and minerals) that plants use to obtain resources, as well as how these resources are transported within a plant. We will also examine carbon allocation, phytoremediation and plant responses to stresses such as drought and nutrient deficiencies.
