Computer Science Field of Study Curriculum

Requirements

Laredo College's Math, Science, and Computer Technology departments jointly offer courses comprising the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board’s (THECB) Computer Science Field of Study. The courses are intended for students pursuing a baccalaureate degree in Computer Science or related areas in engineering.

The field of study consists of the following courses:

Note: It is recommended that students complete the math, physics, and programming course sequences at the same institution to reduce the likelihood of potential gaps in the curriculum.

The Computer Science Field of Study is embedded in an Associate of Science degree. To obtain the degree, students are advised to complete the LCC core and the entire Computer Science Field of Study.
