SPED 5422 SCHOOL-BASED TESTING

This course will concentrate on specific standardized assessments essential for identification, evaluation, and remediation of learning disabilities. Administration, scoring, and interpretation of results will be emphasized. In addition, this course will highlight issues and problems in assessment of student learning, specifically analyzing the reliability and validity of frequently used assessments, training in non-biased evaluation techniques, and examining the over identification of students who are culturally or linguistically diverse for special education programs.
