Established in 2005, the Pre-Law Institute (PLI) advises students on appropriate undergraduate studies and assists students and alumni with all aspects of the law school application process. Each year, the Institute offers intensive academic skill-building programs, opportunities to network with legal practitioners, a comprehensive series of workshops, and a Law Day that focuses on the law school admissions process and career opportunities for lawyers. To further support students on their journey to law school, PLI also offers a comprehensive LSAT preparation course open to qualified John Jay students and recent alumni at a minimal cost.
