Program Description

This certificate program prepares students to practice as a licensed massage therapist in the State of Colorado. Students are trained in state of the art professional massage practices and therapeutic techniques, including coursework in Neuromuscular Anatomy in Clay, Kinesiology and Pathology and will complete two clinical rotations allowing them to earn over 800 contact hours in this certificate. Students may also infuse additional Holistic Health coursework or other certifications in order to have over 1000 contact hours for licensure. Upon successful completion, students will be prepared to take the national certification exam (NBLEX) through the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork and they may also become professional members of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) and Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals (ABMP) affiliate associations. All courses in this degree must be completed with a "C" or better to graduate.

**Students may choose to take any of the HHP courses and apply towards MST certificate upon acceptance into cohort. 3 HHP electives are required for certificate. Electives in other HHP and HWE courses may be taken prior to admission in a MST cohort. Refer to approved list and speak to Program Director or instructors for guidance. Students are advised to consult with the HHP Program Director and/or instructors prior to selecting their electives.
