ENG 1235 CULT CLASSICS, LITERARY TRASH
What separates pulp fiction from literary genius? Who gets to determine the value of literature? And why is it that panned, offbeat or just plain bad books seem to bring people together? This course explores these questions as it celebrates films and books that are so-awful-they're-great. Potential topics include literary fandom, counterculture, cult celebrity, camp and bad (or is it good?) taste.
