CT 115 Social Media Video Algorithms and Video Content Elements

An examination of the extent and impact that diversity among individuals, cultures, and societies have on successful video content design and how that interacts with video algorithms used by online video sharing platform(s), which allow for global connections and often promote social and behavioral interaction in modern society. Evidence supporting conclusions about the behavior of individuals, groups, institutions, or organizations that have successfully employed video content design strategies to align with online algorithm priorities will be presented, which will focus on search and discovery techniques, feedback loops, use of historical data to make future decisions, video audience engagement data, search tool functionality, video search tool ranking data, using relevant search terms, aligning with suggested video content, use of playlists, considering performance and engagement data, aligning with country trend data, subscriber implications, and notification processes.
