ESP 271 Esports and Data
This foundational course will introduce concepts and skills centered on data and statistics that will assist with gaining insights and organizational direction for leading teams, events, and operations within the Esports industry. These skills impact a variety of aspects of Esports including the effectiveness of engaging live streaming, gameplay tactics, and monetization. In addition, current trends will be discussed in terms of relevancy to the community at large, how popularity grows and shrinks based on community involvement, and how these trends affect organizationally. Finally, students will consider ethical implications of collection and analysis in the gaming industry.
