BIOL 2300 Biological Research

Gives students lab research experience in one or more of the following topics: molecular biology, microbiology, ecology, biochemistry, structural biology or cellular biology by introducing students to a variety of research techniques and their applications. The course is intended for biology, chemistry and bioscience students seeking to acquire basic and advanced training in life science-related fields. This course will provide instruction for understanding many biochemical and molecular techniques used in biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. Students will be
required to present their work in departmental seminars or scientific meetings, possibly publishing research outcomes in scientific journals.
