Study Abroad Enrollment
Students may enhance their educational experiences and their cross-cultural competence through participating in short-term enrollment with sister school colleges and universities in other countries. The University of the Incarnate Word has more than 140 sister-school agreements with colleges or universities in numerous countries to facilitate enrollment and transferability of credits. Detailed information about the Study Abroad Program may be obtained through the Study Abroad Office. The following policies apply to enrollment in courses through the Study Abroad program:
- Must be enrolled as a full-time student at the time of studying abroad.
- Have successfully completed 12 hours at UIW.
- Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.4 (some Sister Schools may require a higher GPA).
- Cannot be abroad the semester you intend to graduate, unless attending a UIW satellite campus/center.
- Cannot enroll in more than 30 credits abroad.
- Must meet eligibility requirements of the Sister School.
