Finance Minor

The Finance minor strengthens students’ financial management and planning skills and understanding of markets. This minor in finance requires the completion of the following courses. Course prerequisites must be observed.

Finance Minor Required Coursework

To fulfill the requirements for the Finance Minor, the student must complete 15 hours of coursework:

6 semester hours of the following required courses:

BFIN 3310Personal Financial Planning

BFIN 3321Principles of Financial Management

Plus, 9 semester hours of upper division Finance (BFIN) electives are also required.

 

Note: Two of the courses above also require prerequisites, which must be met: ACCT 2311, ECON 2301, and ECON 2302.

Note:  BFIN 3321 Principles of Financial Management has the following prerequisites which must be met:  ACCT 2311 and ECON 2301.
