PHAR 4453 Clinical Application of Medical Literature Evaluation
This course will teach clinical reasoning skills in conjunction with medical literature interpretation and application. The course will use a team-taught approach to develop a process for clinical problem solving and application of medical literature following the pharmacists’ patient care process (PPCP). Basic concepts of clinical biostatistics and epidemiology will provide a framework for effective medical literature evaluation. The course will incorporate faculty from various areas of practice to emphasize the applicability of literature evaluation and the clinical thought process throughout pharmacy practice.
Prerequisite
Pharmacy students enrolled in the second professional year of study will be eligible to take this course.
