PHIL 3385 Justice: Tradition and Transformation
This is a philosophical exploration of the concept of justice with emphasis on its role in the foundation of governments, and the structures of society as well as its significance as a personal value. Topics may include the role of justice in the ideal state, the Judaeo-Christian conception of justice, the nature of injustice, of social justice, of freedom, law, and personal integrity, the rights of the individual, civil disobedience, and the meaning of equality.
