ENGR 2330 Engineering Probability and Statistics

This course covers probability theory, descriptive statistics, random variables, discrete and continuous probability distributions, functions of random variables, hypothesis testing, correlation, and linear regression for engineers. Rigorous mathematical concepts will be tied to engineering system issues such as characterizing uncertainty due to measurement error, component and system tolerances, and noise sources. The course will incorporate the use of MATLAB software in statistics.
