VISC 6245 Research Methodology and Thesis Development
Overview of research methodology applicable to vision science. Topics include concepts in research study design, formulation and writing a research protocol, in addition to human subject research and utilization of the Institutional Review Board. Between-group and within-subject designs are included as well as clinical trials, case-control studies, cohort designs, crossover studies, and meta-analysis. Research questions and ideas are developed as well as detailed planning and proposals essential for thesis or dissertation research.
