OTD 7551 Occupations VI: Adult and Older Adult

Adult and older adult standardized and non-standardized assessments and intervention strategies are applied using evidence-based practice and theoretical frameworks. Clinical reasoning is used to evaluate, analyze, diagnose, and provide occupation-based interventions to address client factors, performance patterns, and performance skills for health promotion, compensation, adaptation, and prevention. Comorbidities and end-of-life issues are addressed. Dysphagia and feeding strategies are assessed through lab experiences. Students explore informatics related to electronic documentation and the use of telehealth. Consumer education and referral to specialists are incorporated into case studies.
