OTD 6210 Ethics and Occupational Justice

The AOTA Code of Ethics is defined as the professional responsibilities of the occupational therapy student and occupational therapy practitioner for ethical decision-making regarding personal and professional liability. Sociocultural, socioeconomic, diversity factors, and lifestyle choices are applied, analyzed, and evaluated in contemporary society to meet the needs of persons, groups, and populations. Occupational justice is defined and applied to engage populations in meaningful societal occupations and activities and social justice. The student participates in designing advocacy projects that will be carried out in the fall semester, year 2.
