EDUC 3380 Instructional Design

Instructional Design is the first pedagogy course in the professional development sequence of the Education-Secondary Major and Education-All Level Major, preparing teacher candidates for Texas teacher certification. This course focuses on classroom community-building strategies and instructional design for engagement and content learning, with a focus on middle and high school classrooms. The content encompasses knowledge and skills related to the professional dispositions of teaching. In addition to the coursework, candidates must complete a minimum of thirty hours of guided field-based experience in assigned classrooms corresponding with their intended certification. Offered in Fall and Spring.
