PMIN 6364 Internship in Spiritual Direction
This course is an off-campus internship program incorporating both content and supervised experience in the art of spiritual direction. Students will see at least three directed each month, write verbatims and receive individual monthly supervision from their director. Students will be expected to demonstrate growth in self-awareness and in willingness to reflect on the experience of direction. In particular, students will be invited to grow in openness to the guidance they receive from supervisors and from peers in the monthly seminar. On-going discernment of the call to be a spiritual director will be furthered by supervisors’ evaluations as well as self-evaluation. With approval of the director, this internship may be repeated for an additional 3 credits.
