CHEM 7310 Topics in Environmental and Bio-Organic Chemistry

This course examines properties of solutions and chemical reactions that directly affect the environment and human processes. The structure of atoms, ions and the chemical bond are discussed. Chemical reactions will be examined and described using balanced chemical equations. Basic organic nomenclature and biochemical reactions are discussed in-depth. Investigations include analysis of environmental quality, extraction and synthesis of organic compounds.
