HNRS 20213 Language, Communication and Cultural Identity
Prerequisite: acceptance into the Honors College. In this course, students will use interdisciplinary inquiry methods to examine how creation and expression of identities are carried out through diverse social language practices such as interpersonal communication, use of new media, rhetorical performances, and the composing of written texts. Readings and students' performative projects will draw from a range of disciplinary and multi-disciplinary perspectives, while promoting experiential learning consistent with TCU Honors College learning goals n the lower division curriculum.
