HEBR 10053 Biblical Hebrew I
The course aims at building a firm foundation in basic biblical Hebrew with a view toward productive academic engagement with the documents of the Old Testament/Hebrew Bible. We will cover the basics of Hebrew morphology (the way words are put together), syntax (the way phrases and sentences are put together), and vocabulary. These will be strengthened by continual review through memorization, exercises, quizzes, and exams.
