ASST 30013 Asian Cultures, Politics, and Societies through Media
This course explores the representations of culture, politics, society, and identity in a variety of films and other visual culture media (such as television, social media, literature, and music) from Asia. During the semester students will engage a breadth of media representations pertaining to Asia to study the development of different Asian civilizations in a historical and transnational context on some of the key issues facing these countries today.
