Department of Women & Gender Studies

TCU's interdisciplinary women and gender studies program puts women, gender, and sexuality at the center of academic investigation. The program promotes inquiry into the intersections of gender with other identity categories; the workings of power in society; and the means of advancing social justice and equality. Through research, teaching and learning, and collaboration, the program fosters feminist and interdisciplinary analysis across social, historical, cultural and global contexts, products and practices.

Women and gender studies offers a B.A. program and a B.S. program, as well as a minor and an emphasis on both B.A. and B.S. degrees. Women and gender studies majors, minors or emphasis students who plan to pursue departmental honors must be members or the Honors College and should contact the chair of WGST to register for WGST 31003 (junior honors seminar) or WGST 41003 (senior honors seminar).
