ENGL 308 Global Novel

Studies the rise of the so-called “global novel” in the twentieth and twenty-first centuries, considering issues of anti-colonial resistance, revolution, and totalitarianism. Includes novels by Chinua Achebe, Chimamanda Adichie, Kazuo Ishiguro, Mikhail Bulgakov, George Orwell, and Laila Lalami.
